Constant crashing on desktop - Multiplayer and Singleplayer
So, recently my game has begun crashing CONSTANTLY, both in Multi and single player. It crashes every 2 minutes or so, sometimes as soon as loading into worlds/servers. It happens randomly - sometimes on start up, but mostly when playing the game as usual. No mods are being used and nothing is being done to drop sim significantly. As far as I can tell, this started after installing Nvidia's latest graphics driver update, however after a clean re-install of both the game and the drivers the crashing still occurs. Re-installing C++ re-distributables did not fix the issue either. I've also tried deleting shader cache but no luck. I've already ruled out the possibility of any hardware issues - my hardware is perfectly fine (other games work perfectly). I've tried pretty much everything already suggested in the forum, but with no results.
When looking at faulting modules in event viewer, these 3 are usually the issue
Havok.dll
WS2_32.dll
nvwgf2umx.dll
I've attached all the logs just in case.
Hello, Ollie!
Thank you for writing to us and sharing the log files.
Upon inspecting the logs, we noticed a common instance of joining the Mayhem Industries server and that the TorchClientMod on the server was being loaded. It appears that the script being loaded by this mod is causing your game to crash.
To determine if the mod is the cause of the crash, please try joining Keen's official servers and check if the game still crashes. Additionally, try starting a new vanilla (no mods/scripts) world in single-player mode to see if the issue persists.
If the game still crashes when joining our official servers or playing a single-player vanilla world, please send us the log files from both instances, as well as the log from the Windows Event Viewer.
To get the Windows Event Viewer log, please open the Event Viewer (from the start menu, type Event Viewer). In the Event Viewer, go to Windows Logs, Application, and send the top “.NET Runtime” error from Application: SpaceEngineers.exe. (please see attached image).
To do this right, please follow these steps:
1) Select the correct file on the left side (Application)
2) Select first the .NET runtime error from the top (using default ordering)
3) Copy the large bottom text and send it to us.
Please Note: make sure that the info is from the Application: SpaceEngineers.exe
Kind Regards,
