.5 sec stutter/freeze every 6-10 seconds
Need More Information
No matter what I do I have a game locking stutter every 3-6 seconds. I can change the resolution and graphics settings to minimum and it makes no difference. I have reinstalled all of my drivers and the game. I tried administrator and compatibility modes. I tried increasing it's CPU priority, nothing. No one else seems to be having this issue, either. This is a fresh windows 11 install. I just want to play the game.
This seems to occur the most when constantly rotating my mouse in about a 20 degree circle.

I have the same bug
Created a short clip of it happening.

I have 2 different Logitech mice. I have disabled G Hub and it made no difference.
I am reading though other similar issues and it appears there is a pattern of them being marked won't fix. Is this a known issue that you are planning on not fixing?

Having the exact same issue, Tried walking around and it did not seem to freeze, so it's probably related to the camera. I use a SteelSeries mouse.

Updated BIOS. Still no change.

Tried it with a razer mouse, was logitech up to this point. I have never installed Synapse.
No change, still freezing like before.

Reinstalled USB drivers and SATA drivers. Tested all windows and mouse compatibility settings. Disabled steam input. No change still freezes.
Crazy the devs won't acknowledge this. Every time someone brings it up they wait 3 months to reply, then when no one responds in a week they close it due to inactivity.

Hello Mack Sermonte,
We could not reproduce this issue on current Game version: v2.0.2.51. Does this issue still occurs for you? Could you please provide your Game logs if you still encounter this? You can find your Game logs here:

Yes it is still happening.
Yes it is still happening.
Evening All,
Ill just jump in here, I am having the same as the original videos shows. Was hoping that the V2.2 update would catch this but it seem to still be persisting at present.
As well as trying relevant to my system above,
Seems to be across the board on any of the worlds I spin up, including the empty world
I have tried updating drivers, messing around with res & general graphics settings, messed about with my mouse dpi settings & disabled mouse acceleration with no effect. only thing that caught my eye was another post related to AMD general performance issues / crashes that was look at in Dec - mine is a AMD Ryzen 5800x CPU so wondering if its possibility related to that (could be wrong) but @Mack @Jared @vanthom are your systems AMD as well? (If so then we have a lead, if not then back to the drawing board).
Attached log files
Let me know if you need me a try anything more to aid troubleshooting this.

I'm having similar issues, my CPU is jumping to 100% with SE2 VS2.2 loaded and it's causing bad stutters and frame drops, changing settings makes no difference to anything, GPU has low utilization also.

Just checked with 2.2, it is still happening. No change.

This seems like the issue I reported a while back: https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers2/pc/topic/48771-choppy-mouse

Yea It is really awful, At first i too thoguht it's stuttering but it seems to be something with input, using arow keys to move around the character camera dosen't produce the stuttering, unlike with a mouse where the "stutter" happens. Might just also be me, but speaking of mouse controll i feel like moving right and left is a slower than moving up and down, might be something to do with the legs dragging around, something akin to reverse acceleration, personally i'd remove this realism feature for better control accuracy if it isn't a bug.
Dosen't seem to be any graphical setting causing it, and i havent found any way to change mouse input in the new 2.2 build to fix this.
The issue persists in 3rd person view too, so not a 1st person issue.
I think the other Thread made by Daniel above a few months ago had someone say the issue dosen't happen in a ship, but it does, also both in 1st and 3rd person views, but it does differ with being a stutter for the ship guide cursor lagging back, the ship still continues to rotate as normal even if the camera lags back.
Also on the other thread a person claimed a high dpi on mouse and low sensitivity setting in game alivates the issue, but havent tried doing it so have nothing more to say.
To summarize, Input Processing Issue.
This is probably one of the 2 reasons im not very keen on playin any SE2 right now, the other is waiting for multiplayer.

This change talking about mouse input was not the fix. I am still experiencing the issue.

Is this actually a stutter or is it just the input from mouse dropping out? I have something that sounds similar and made a post about it however I noticed that it wasn't a actual performance stutter, fps remained stable, just input from mouse cut out briefly, using arrow keys to move camera didn't result in the same behavior. It has seemingly gotten less prominent for me at-least recently, it's much less noticeable now that what it was. I attached a video of it, is this the same as what you were experiencing or is it actual stutters?

I also have this stutter with RX7800XT, R5 7600X, 32GB DDR5 RAM on Windows 10. All drivers up to date, even ran NET framework bug finder, nothing. The stutter comes and goes

Hi,
I have the same issue since release as well.
Tried two logitech mices and two computers, both have the issue (Logitech G305 & G502 X)
Tried different settings for my mouse in windows (Not running G-hub or any logitech software), DPI and enhanced precision but still have the issue.
Also tried changing the sensitivity in game but the issue persists be it at min or max sensitivity.
Using the keyboard arrow keys in game doesn't trigger the issue.
I'd imagine it is a problem processing mouse input, and rather than a stutter it is just that the camera doesn't respond to my mouse input for a very short amount of time every few seconds.
I'll add that on both computers there is no apparent performance spike while it happens.
Desktop : Windows 11 Pro | 64GB Ram DDR5 6000Mhz | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080
Laptop : Windows 11 Pro | 32GB Ram DDR4 3200Mhz | AMD Ryzen 7 5800H | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Mobile
Attached today's log files.
