game is crashing when i approach the planet

my game crashes evry time i aproach the plane i tried aprroaching it from diffrent sides but evry time it crashes and i cant do anything i have to go to the planet to progress the game i cannot play the game

Could you please provide your Game logs? You can find them here:

  • C:\Users\(your_username)\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers2\Temp\Logs

They will look like this:

There's something you can try if you want to. After accepting the contract, stay at the station for a solid 5 minutes. Then go to the planet and see if it still crashes.

I have the same problem. Third mission, always when entering the atmosphere and the Ion Thruster warning pops up.

Ok, it seems to be related to approaching the contract site, not the atmosphere. I was able to enter the atmosphere but when coming close to the site (appr. 10km) it crashes again. Even when I just walk there.

Lucky me, my game auto-saved right before encountering this crash, and since I'm moving towards the planet there's nothing I can do to stop the game from crashing after about 5 seconds. I'm about 25km away from the contract site.

Hello Engineers,


We have fixed several crashes that were occurring on travelling from one location to another in the previous Hotfixes.

As such, I will close this thread.

If you'll encounter a similar crash again on current Game version: 2.2.0.2113. Please create a new thread with logs attached to it.
