Hello, Engineers!

The next Major (1.199) release for Space Engineers is upon us. Heavy Industry Introduces a whole new vision of industry in Space Engineers! A reimagining of industrial might, from lunar mining site to factory floor; smelting, refining, and mass production never looked so good.

This massive update is one of our biggest! Including DLC, Heavy Industry adds nearly 100 new blocks and block variants to Space Engineers! We hope you enjoy exploring Heavy Industry as much as we did creating it.

  • Added a hatch to the 2nd floor of the Industrial refinery
  • Removed railings from Industrial assembler so it can be used as a corner corridor
  • Added hatch and terminal panel to the upper part of Industrial assembler
  • Fixed a crash at MyAntennaSystem.GetAllRelayedBroadcasters
  • Fixed an issue where it was possible to place two blocks in the same space by clicking rapidly
  • Blocks without ownership on a grid can now be changed only by the majority owner or members from the same faction
  • Fixed a crash at MyAutomaticRifleGun.AnimateRecoil
  • Fixed an issue with sensors not detecting anything with non-default settings
  • Fixed collisions on DLC Column blocks to be smaller

Very awesome. Some much needed changes to Parking and Power. This list of bugfixes is great.


Small Grid Window block collisions were fixed, but what about the Small Grid Slope block collisions? they are still broken.

and still waiting for the fix to find modded server on pc to get implemented.

we now wait since the rise of the console servers for that fix.

Fixed ships with subgrids not using thrusters for dampening correctly

This is still not correctly working i have a ship connected with a connecter. Using the bigger ship with the small grid docked the big ship still slowly falls in gravity playing on xbox one.

If i unconnect it and just use landing gear it seems to work as intended

Upon further testing it seems that I have found that turning off all thrusters of your subgrid ship solves this issue. I previously thought they were off however i messed up my grouping and fixed them to be off when flying the main grid. However if you have any thrusters on it causes the dampers of the main grid to fall slowly in gravity. Also turning dampers off and leaving thrusters on the subgrid also causes main grid to fall slowly. Is this intended? Because turning off dampers on a subgrid could be better in some cases then shutting down thrusters on it. Mainly launch times i would think instead of checking to see if your grid is on in the heat of battle


Other than that this update rocks


Ps also found shutting down power for subgrid solves this but doesn't allow power/cargo transfer to and from the subgrid ship itself thus letting batteries to charge.

also the game could use another small fixup namely the connection to steamworkshop most off the time when i whant to build a blueprint or just plain place it the steam workshop whont b loaded

i found a small bug whit the hitbox of the small lights iff you place them on a Ceiling that's 1 block high you canot pass under them anymore they block the pathway and it isnt the cornerlights or the small block DLC lights

but the normal Interior Light. this is as far as i can walk i believe whe should be abl to walk past them.

but somehow there is a invisible Block infront of us.

even whitout mods i canot get past it iff its like that
