Yes, Ive I tried the Character screen on the main menu. Ive also tried single player, a multiplayer server, and reinstalling my game nothing changes

Yes i tried this as well only thing visible its the tools, lights and the particles from the jet.

Ive tried changing my settings from high to low as well

Yes, my character is invisible ingame and out at the main menu. Tried many modes myself, and even the wolves are gone. i will attach my log files here.

Hello, thanks for your report.

Unfortunatelly we need more information to reproduce this.

In the meantime, have you tried deleting your shadercache folder and or mipmapcache files from SpaceEngineers Appdata folder?

The steps are:

Use shortcut Windows+R and type %appdata%
Confirm
It should take you directly to Appdata/Roaming folder
In there search for SpaceEngineers folder and open it
Select the ShaderCache2 folder and any mipMapTextureCache* files
Delete them and start the game
If that helped, then please let us know, if it did not, then please send us your dxdiag and the spaceengineers log and config file.
Both log and config file can be found in the same appdata folder.

Can you please update to the latests drivers for your graphics card?

And you can get dxdiag by windows+r type dxdiag and confirm. A utility is going to be launched which gathers data from your computer about the drivers and various other things. You can then click on the button Save all information and save it as a text file. You can then upload the text file here. But please do so only after updating the drivers.

I think it seems to happen for older drivers/video cards. For example, I use a NVIDIA Quadro 4000 and I can't see characters. Other players are able to see them just fine. As far as reproducing it goes, try popping an AMD Phenom II X4 945 Proccessor and NVIDIA Quadro 4000 into your computer and then playng Space Engineers.

This problem appeared, but everyone writes that they have problem from first start with Frostbite. I went in first to SP world and i saw my char, but then, in same session, i went to my friend's world and recognise that i don't see him.

Tryed to reconnect, reboot models by F11 menu, reinstall game, update drivers and the tips I found here, but nothing helps.

Maybe it's iportant detail.

I mean I wouldn't say its not going to happen, I mean before release they were split working on several projects but now they are focusing on SE alot more and are actively working on it. But seeing as it was working fine until this last update tells me its something with the player render that they changed, maybe for frostbite stuff or whatever, but I do know a decent number of people are affected by this issue and thats a decent size of their playerbase as a decent bit of Nvidia cards are affected from what I can tell.

According to the log your GPU does not meet the minimum requirements. Unfortunately, we do not test on configurations that include hardware below our minimum requirements.

This is why it was not tested, under these conditions, prior to release.

We are very sorry if this has caused you any inconvenience. This issue appears to only affect older hardware.

Regardless, we are still investigating this issue and trying to resolve it. We want to fix this issue.

Until we can complete our internal investigation of this issue we suggest playing on Branch 1.193.

Well it clearly isn't the GPU being screwed since before the frostbite update everything worked fine (so most likely something about the way characters are modeled was changed) and the latest hotfix has yet again not fixed this issue

Hey Im new to the game - just purchased it yesterday (08 April 2020). I can see my character. Thought its maybe an extra purchase, so bought the deluxe on top. I can see the golden gear in the create character in the gear selection tabs, but no character.

Is there a fix yet. Yes, I am on older hardware GT630m I think.

Please assist. Dont want to waste good money.

P.S. please include the build planner functionality in welder ships , maybe like a small sphere appears in front of welder ship like safe zone and sphere can be adjusted in size and every block within sphere that needs components can be added to build planner? . ty ty ty in advance....

I just love this game,is there any chance u will add to game some npc charakters?

Just like in for example no man's sky ,some trade fight againts charakters like pirates something like that.

That will add more into the game.
