NA #6 Crashing during loading in.

Daniel Pena shared this bug 19 months ago
Won't Fix

I've tried to log in NA#6 a few times it crashes during loading, I can log in other official servers just fine. But with 6 it's hit or miss. I can play single player just fine. I've already reinstalled .netframework. I've reinstalled my drivers, I've reinstalled the game. I've tried not using steam overlay. It's weird It just started recently. Like maybe 03/20/2023 2 Event viewer logs below. As well as DXdiag information. I could not attach msinfo file as .nfo isn't valid type. But the msinfo is available if needed. Also I have a video recording of loading into other servers fine and it crashing on 6. If you guys need that recording.

Hello, Daniel,

thank you for letting us know about this issue.

Can you please provide more information?

By "it crashes", you mean the game, right? Not the server.

Is there any error/exception in the game log? The other that you sent from the game folder - SpaceEngineers_(some numbers). Can you share me that as well?

After closer investigation of the logs that you provided, it seems that the problem in your case is actually the "nvwgf2umx.dll". That is not – however – strictly connected to the game itself, as, after bit of searching online, I found out that this issue was/is happening to players in other games as well (e.g. Minecraft, Skyrim, Forza Horizon, Assassin's Creed Syndicate etc.).

For most players the solution for this issue was connected to GPU drivers.

You are writing that this issue started to happen just recently. Is it possible that there were drivers update of your GPU just around that time? If yes, and you even tried it to reinstall it (that most likely means that it's still the most recent driver, right?), can you please try to roll back to previous drivers, where the game was working better?

Anyway, you can first try to disable your antivirus, when starting the game, or please also make sure that you are not using any kind of VPN.

You can also try to verify the integrity of the game through Steam, disable Steam/Discord Overlay, stop overclocking CPU (if used).

You might also want to check this page (Microsoft support), where there are links to other discussions about this issue and how to solve it.

Please let me know if anything from above works for you.

Kind Regards

Logically, I don't think it's the server crashing as 1. It's not my server. 2. It's an official SE server NA#6. But yes it's the game crashing.

Also it's ONLY when I connect to this server. Every other server and every other single player save works perfectly. I've already done the research you have about CPU overclock, VPN Antivirus etc. as a Technician I tried my best to solve the issue beforehand which is why in the first post I stated I tried not using steam overlay as well but I appreciate we are both on that same page. I've tried using basic default nvdiia driver version 400ish. And the newest version 521. Both have the same problem. And as I stated before I can connect to NA#5 NA#2, Other non-official servers. Single player games, direct connect with friends just fine. It's just NA#6 for whatever reason. As for logs I can give you all the logs since I reinstalled the game this week. Attached is EVERY log since the fresh re-install. Per your request. Hopefully this is enough to help out.

Any updates on this? Still having same issue, and gpu drivers have been updated twice to newer versions since I posted this. STILL only having this issue on NA#6 only.
