Lee Harris shared this bug 4 years ago
Won't Fix

I upgraded my windows 7 to Windows 10. And brought Frostbite DLC. I already have all other DLC packs and Deluxe edition

And since then I get the same error every time I attempt to launch the game.

"The current version of the requires a Dx11 card. \n For more

information please see :

https://blog.marekrosa.org/2016/02/space-engineers-news-full-source-code_26.html"

I have done the following to try to solve the problem:-

1, Verify files (fail)

2, Delete App Data .cfg files Both Shader folders (fail)

3, Uninstalled game, then used Reg cleaner, then restart PC and then reinstall game (fail)

4, Full clean reinstall of latest GPU drivers. (fail)

5, Added EVERY .EXE file in the Space Engineers folder to my Anti-Virus/Malware Software's Exceptions list (fail)

6, Added EVERY .EXE as a "Run this program as an administrator" (fail)

7, Added EVERY .EXE as Windows 7 Compatibility mode (fail)

8, Done a full PC maintenance Defrag, Reg Clean, Temp/Junk File Clean, Virus/Malware scans

I have a

EVGA Nvidia Geforce GTX1080 GPU

AMD 8150 CPU

16GB DDR3 Memory

I'm at a loss

I am also having this same problem, however I've had this problem since about a month and a half ago!

I have a Radeon RX580 GPU, MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon Motherboard.

Heres my launch log:

I seemed to have solved it for me.

First I dropped my screen res to below 1920x1080 in windows then started Space Engineers.

Once SE had started I loaded a world then closed the game in the normal way and reset my screen res and booted SE again and reset the res in game.

I am having this same problem. As the OP says, update everything to the latest drivers and still does not work.

NVidia GTX 1050 Ti GPU

Intel Core i7 CPU

8 GB RAM

I admit - I haven't logged in for a year, but the program was kept up to date.
