Dedicated Server Issue after update 1.197

Solved

Hello, i know a lot of people already reported (probably) this issue and you are working on fixing it.

I just wanted to send you log files from the hosted server and steps I did to try to resolve the issue.

Steps I did:

- Reinstalled whole service

- Added torch plugins with cfgs -

> Everything worked fine

- Updated SpaceEngineers-Dedicated.cfg (I noticed i had a little different cfg so I didn't copied it, i just updated the information needed (Except session info) on the new one) -

> Everything worked fine

- Uploaded my save on the server, and linked it in the SpaceEngineers-Dedicated.cfg -

> Didn't work

- Tried loading default Star System with Mods from my save -

> Didn't work

Looks like it won't download the mods.

Hope this helped at least a little.

You guys are doing great job! Keep it up.

"Torch issues do nit refer to this site and blah-blah."

But I've heard that same problem with mods happens with DS too. Need to test it myself

Hello!

Thank you for your report. Unfortunately we don't support Torch servers, however the issue where players could not load dedicated server saves should be already fixed. Can you please retest?

Thank you.

I'm retesting every day, and still with no luck :(

I can't even start default blank saves without mods now..

I'm reinstaling the service every day to try.

Sending logs from today.

I would gladly play without torch, but i don't think its even possible on most hosted servers.

So i finally had little more time to do some digging tonight, and I probably found where the problem is.

I noticed that there is a new default save (Home System) on the server after reinstall.

This i got up and running in no time, but when i tried to change the settings in the save, the game created new save again from:

<PremadeCheckpointPath>D:\servers\service****\home\games\se_torch\Content\CustomWorlds\Home System</PremadeCheckpointPath>

When i tried deleting that, its just created there automatically and when i put this: <PremadeCheckpointPath /> there is always error in logs, same as in my first bug report and game didn't load up.

I tried multiple ways to overcome the issue, but with no luck.

I'm going to use the old patch for the server for now and hope that torch guys with association with you guys will figure it out. Too bad Rexxar is out of the game..

SOLVED

There was a problem with IgnoreLastSession setting, when i changed it to false, it automaticly changed to true and created new world again. The proper way to do it was to create new world, then change it to false, save restart, and now this appeared in the config: <LoadWorld>D:\servers\service****\home\games\se_torch\Saves\Home System</LoadWorld>

and the <PremadeCheckpointPath> was gone finally.

With only this i would figgure it out long before, but everytime I changed the settings in SpaceEngineers-Dedicated.cfg I would put something like this in there:

<LoadWorld>Home System</LoadWorld>

That was enough before the update, But now i guess you need the whole path.

Everything working now, even the old save.
