Crash to Desktop on Loading of Main Menu
Won't Fix
1. Opens game
- Doesn't crash during the opening video
2. Arrives at the main menu either via skipping video or waiting for it to end
- After a few seconds game crashes to desktop
3 Can click in the options button and game doesn't crash
- Game instantly crashes when returning to the main menu

Iv had the same issue that comes and goes over the past couple years. I have learned to double check all drives and steamworks downloads. ill update everything and it will work for a day or two then go back to crashing as soon as the main menu loads.

I've been having this issue since update 1.197
It's really disheartening when purchasing DLC and not being able to use it.
I've tried multiple of the fixes and it's worked once but quickly returned to crashing when hitting the menu.

I've got the same problem. Non of the tipps helped. Fix please, I paid money for the new DLC and I can't play.

I just had this problem yesterday 23/01. I was playing in my offline world and made some movements in my mothership in the space (repaired some things and moved it next to a big asteroid to protect from asteroid rains); as I always do, I saved, I saved as, and then exit with saving progress.
Well, as I had to have lunch I left the game running as I usually do and when came back, I found my PC freezed (game menu screen freezed on top and couldn't do anything even with Windows) so I hardreset.
Then, I wanted to load my world, I started the game but there were somth missing, I hadn't "Continue" option. Ok, no problem, go to "Load world" menu and... crash. Exit to desktop with logfile.
Tried 5 times at least and always happened the same.
I cut the savegames folder to another SSD and whne I started game again it let me begin another World as if anything would happened...
I feel smth is corrupted in the World, but I don't know what. Can anybody help me?
