Air vents reversed on server

JaredCrue shared this bug 3 years ago
Won't Fix

I posted on the Steam forums about this issue:

"I built a large ship on a server.

It has o2 generators and storage.

It has multiple compartments with vents.

Vents are connected to storage via conveyor blocks.

Vents are set to pressurize rooms.

Anyway...

The vents seem to be bugged. Rooms are sealed, but can't be pressurized (Yellow indicators).

But when the man doors are opened, the vents attempt to pressurize the rooms. Venting o2 into space (Green indicator).

There is also a hangar bay that can be sealed."

Hello, Jared,

thanks for letting us know about this issue.

However, there is too low info to go with on our side. Can you specify more?

The video and blueprint of the ship would greatly help! So if you can share these, please do.

Moreover - from the steamforum it seems that this issue is fixed for you after the server restart. Is this issue reoccurring for you after them server restart?

We have these (1, 2) threads here already reported... you think it´s the same?

If yes, I will mark this one as duplicate.

If not, please supply the video and blueprint.

Kind Regards

So, looking at your links:

Link one is related, but not the same issue.

Link two is somewhat related, but I'm not using scripts.

The issue seems to be something with the Hangar Doors or a wonky server.

I've worked around it by using a force field mod, adding a barrier between the Hanger Doors and the pressurized compartment(s) on a different ship.

It could also be something with the offset doors from the Frostbite DLC, I'm using them as airlocks.

To reiterate, The vents try to pressurize compartments that are open to space.

When these compartments are closed, the vents won't pressurize the rooms. Likey considering them open.

It occurs occasionally.

BP Notes: the vents are off, you'll have to turn them back on.

The grav generator is off too, since I was next to my base when I saved the BP.

The Black Ship is the one having the issue.

The miner should be able to fit into the docking bay, it's a later design.

I'll try to do a video if I can replicate it.

Hello, Engineers!

It´s already quite long time from when this issue was originally posted as well as from the last comment.

Are you still experiencing it? Or was it fixed in the meantime.

Thanks in advance for confirming me current situation.

Kind Regards

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.
