Need More Information

I am trying to upload a new blueprint of a small grid to the steam working shop and keep getting this message. I have tried the self-help articles on the steam forum and Reddit. None of those helped.

Hello Engineer,

thank you for reaching our forum with this problem.

Can you please share me more information on this?

Did this function worked for you in the past?

Does this happen in single player, or in multiplayer as well?

Is this affecting this only one grid, or more grids are sharing this problem?

Are you sure you are connected properly to the internet and Steam is on Online mode, please?

If you are certain that you are online and this should work, can you please share me log from game session where you experienced this problem and the blueprint of the affected grid?

For logs:

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

For blueprints:

You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards

I have uploaded several blueprints to the workshop without issue. In Warfare 1 there was a similar problem with a different error message. I can't remember what it was, but it fixed itself with one of the smaller patches. I have uploaded several blueprints to the workshop without issue. In Warfare 1 there was a similar problem with a different error message. I can't remember what it was, but it fixed itself with one of the smaller patches. This problem happens in single and multiplayer and always creates a blueprint on the Steam workshop that is blank with a file size of 0.000B. The problem is not unique to this one grid. I cannot upload any blueprint from any game, single-player or multiplayer. I am 100% certain I am online because I was on a live server and was able to use the workshop from the game to get access to workshop items during several attempts at uploading. My creative world is single-player with multiplayer set to friends only. I do use the plugin loader, but I disabled it and used the vanilla game and ended up with the same results. I attached the Blueprint and the log as requested. I made a new world and paste in the grid from the blueprint and made a new blueprint, then tried to publish the new blueprint.

I managed to get it to work by triggering a cloud save error. and causing ALL the could saves to be wiped out.

Here is what I did,

1) Disabled cloud save with Steam's options Settings>Cloud>Enable Steam Cloud =off

2) Disabled SE cloud option.

3) Made a copy of the SE Blueprint and Saves Folders to my Desktop "C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints" and "C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves"

4) Deleted the SE Blueprint and Saves folders from "C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers"

5) Exited Steam and restarted the computer.

6) Started Steam in offline mode.

7) Launched SE and reenabled the cloud while Steam was offline, then put Steam into Online mode.

8) Reenabled Steam's Cloud function, then exited Steam without closing SE. This caused steam to force the shutdown of SE

9) Relaunched Steam and got a cloud sync error. This allowed me to choose which version of the saved files. I chose the empty blueprint folder that SE created, and BAM, no more Steam cloud saves.

10) Launched SE and disabled the cloud in the game's options, then closed SE

11) I merged the files from the copy of the folders on my desktop, Desktop>Bluprints>cloud, and Desktop>Bluprints>local into the folder "C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints\local"

12) Once again, launched SE and loaded a fresh empty world in creative and pasted a copy of my blueprint into that world.

13) I created a new blueprint of my grid and successfully uploaded it to Steam.
