[0.7.1.F6757D] Torches not staying lit

I have noticed over the past few hotfixes that when the game is loaded some torches remain lit and some do not, this affects Torch Stands And Wall Torches, on game load, most torches appear unlit although, as far as the game is concerned they are still lit, meaning I have to go up to each unlit torch and press the F key twice once to douse the unlit torch and once again to light the torch in the past if a torch was lit on game save it remained lit on reload, any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I thought it was a matter of "too many" torches in my world, but it seems it's not.

I hope they'll fix this problem soon.

I'll leave the link of my thread here: https://support.keenswh.com/medievalengineers/topic/invisible-fire

I was thinking that too but then again I have made some worlds earlier that were quite large and had in excess of 500 torches per area

I've had the same problem the last 3 times I started the game. 90% are not lit, but they are 'on'. I'm going to leave them alone this time and hope for a hotfix, it's a lot of work rebooting all my torches.

Yup. I spent more than 2 hours to re-lit 80% of my torches..

What I've found is that wall and stand torches cast light upon load/re-load within a limited radius of the player. Wall and Stand torches beyond a certain radius of the player are marked as lit but show no flame nor cast light.

I have also noticed that they go off over time regardless of how close the player is to the torch I just had to douse and relight my torches three times now during today's session

Same issue in SP & DS.

You know, to be honest, I think I will leave this game alone until they sort out the torches issue, it takes so long to have to relight 90% of the torches before I can even play

This is a game changer type bug. Or was it supposed to be a "feature" to really make you feel alone in your giant castle.

When is this going to be fixed?

It seems like electricity will be discovered way ahead of the bug fix.

I would like to know the answer to this as well

This has been an issue since day 1. If I was a betting man, I'd say 'never'.

It seems Keen is going through an in-house staff shake up/change. As it has been for the past two years I've had ME, SE always gets priority. Keen has always eventually come through. Don't forget as well, it is early access and an unfinished product. Long term anomalies should be anticipated.
