(the original ones, not the band)

maybe this is related to how occasionally landing and locking on a grid seems to make a phantom copy of it or parts of it still connected when you move?

does it ever randomly explode like a full block would then disapear untill you exit the game then reapear when reloading the game?

I noticed this as well while playing yesterday. I have attached a couple of screenshots showing it

Yep the second one especially looks like what I have, cheers.

i am seeing those too. started off just a few here and there, by now theres loads of them around. and possibly not related to this issue, but i think it is, my game has started stuttering

Yeah, agree, the last 2 days have been almost unplayable with the stutter lag. I turned my graphics down to low and it didn't change the amount or frequency of the stutter so i'm not sure what it is.

For me, it's always the same PIO with the faulty refinery. It's displayed at a long distance > 10 km. It could be that this is also related to the lags.

When I loaded the game, I immediately saw four Infernos in one direction. The closest one was 117 km away. In this case, it's a space debris POI. And I think the POIs are calculated in full at that distance, meaning they put a load on the CPU and GPU.

Yeah, when I turn or rotate, sometimes they're moving away from me but never so far away that I can't see them.

That's strange—I was actually planning to record a video. To prepare, I disabled all GPS signals and set a starting point GPS signal. After that, all the fires/infernos had disappeared. Unfortunately, though, that didn't improve the performance.

Are you having any performance issues, by the way?

Off and on, yes. Extreme choppiness when it happens, have to sve and exit and even then only sometimes does it get better.

Yeah, me too.

I flew over 200km to find one, and this is what I found on that heading

FYI: The "New Marker" on the upper left is in Verdure orbit.

Also, turns out it was on a direct heading towards Concordia. Which makes sense, as Unknown signals would spawn along that heading since that was the only part of space I had been in.

Tracked down another one.... Guess what I found

Note the Verdure Orbit marker in the upper left again.

Did you try flying to them? Because those are random events. Exploaded grids with some resources. I bet that will be a part of the game lore. But the fact that those a visible from huge distanses is a mistake.

Hello The_Swack,

This is a known issue that is already reported internally. I have added this thread to our internal ticket (SE2-34382).

Kind Regards,

The thing is, when NPC structures have damaged and burning blocks, their visual effect is visible from a very long distance.

Hello! Could you please tell me if there is any information about this issue?

https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers2/pc/topic/54976-wheel-physics-bug-hinge-mounted-wheels-behave-poorly-with-heavy-loads

Will it be fixed? I've already written to support with a big request to resolve it, because I really want to build and implement spacecraft with a retractable landing gear system.

bit odd asking about it in a ticket unrelated to that

AHAHAHAHAHA SORRY I wrote to support via email in response to their message to me, I have no idea how this ended up here lol. Sorry, I guess it happened because they merged our two threads into one.

Yes, since my thread and yours were merged into one, and they even added the video I recorded of this bug to your thread, my support message, which I sent via email in response to their notification about the merge, ended up appearing here automatically as well.

this may be related to a visual ive noticed where distant grids smoldering is visible.

here is a link to a clip i made when i noticed it as i was flying towards them.

It is possible we are describing the same type of event, I could see what looked like smoked moving in and out of focus under the asteroid in your crosshairs at 0:18. Mine have more "Flame/Grind" compared to the "smoke" i see in your video, but it looks very similar. However, i can have over 20+ show up sometimes.
