Can a "hold" feature be added to the key bindings options in future? I would like to make "hold F" for entering a block :)

Thanks!

Whats your pain point? Why would you need this and for which keybinds?

We have this in Dune awakening, and having to hold a key to get into the inventory of a vehicle is insanely frustrating and id love nothing more than to remove the hold function, Only exeption would be if theres a long non skippable animation after pressing. So whats the reason for this ask in SE2?

Post is asking for the option to do this. The customizable controls allow you to play as you like :)

And this specific ask is about entering/exiting cockpits not inventory - Nothing's worse than flying and accidentally hopping out!

This btw, is exactly why i rebind exit vehicle key to "|" pipe key (Enter is still E). You have no idea how many times ive yeeted myself out of an ornithopter in Dune awakening because i pressed E because i thought it would roll the plane.

So if the pain point is accidentily exiting the cockpit, there are ways that will work just as well as having hold key

Another keybind option I'd love to see:

Power off ALL [Hold Y]

Configured Power on/off ~what gets effected by this can be configured in the cockpits control panel [Y]

The reasoning behind this is to allow players more grid configuration options + immersion.

Star Citizen does this well - Powering On a ship activates its thrusters and control, but when "Off" the ambient lights are still on - unless all power is shut off.

I think this would be a cool option that would bring more life to our grids :)

Note: by default, Y powers off ALL as it always has. But this proposal allows more depth, should players want to configure it.

Or you know, you could use a timer series set to do your bootup sequence exactly how youd like it to be, even staggering engine turn on and add some cool sounds using the soundblock, like an engineer. so instead of using y, you would press your dedicated ship shutdown and startup timer ^^
