if it's the same problem as here"80% CPU Usage in Main Menu | Space Engineers 2 Support" I'm sorry.
80% CPU Usage in Main Menu
Solved
after quitting to main menu and leaving the game running for some time, i noticed that the game is still using my entire CPU for nothing...
my cpu: i7-6700K
I have the same bug
I have i5-12400F and It doesn't matter what I do. I'm building something or I'm not doing anything at all. 85% of usage. And it turns out that you have to wait about 10 seconds for the inventory to open.

I have been tracking my ram/cpu use etc for weeks... 9jan my cpu started running at over 60% continuous when se2 is open. im on linux so i tried 3 other protons and still the same issue. It was never an issue before that. SE1 appears to be working as normal... Did something get changed around the 9th on jan 26'? Any cause or fix for this?

I have not looked a cpu usage but also have huge lag when opening inventory from time to time sometimes its ok and other time it took up to a minute before the game unfreeze and inventory opens...

Hello Engineers,
The CPU usage has been adjusted on our internal environments and that fix should be shipped as a part of VS2.2 release.
As such, I will close this thread.
Happy Engineering!
