are there any scripts for xbox like im trying to get LCD to display whats in my cargo etc but no scripts are working?

First off love the game remember playing it on my pos pc that would just constantly choke on it but still loved it. Anyways, I don't know if there is a way to find them or if I am missing them or something but I was wondering if you guys have any plans to add Scripts to the Workshop for Xbox. Obviously, your still in Beta so I could be asking about something that will be readily available in the final version. However, I am curious.

Hello I was trying to use some scripts to program actions for certain objects and it gave me an error saying scripts weren't enabled. I've done my die diligence and I could not find any option to turn them on or off. Could I get some more info on this.

So me and my friend have been trying to experiment with scripts to see what cool stuff we could make and it wasnt working for my friend it kept saying it wasnt enabled and I was just wondering what was going if the scripts are not integrated yet or anything?

I saw that you asked for a specific script to be added, like with the mods (Modular Encounter Spawner etc).
I think this one: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1653875433 would be an excellent script to have, to automate drone cargo runs and auto-pilot functions since some folks find the remote block a little too tricky to use and limited in functionality.

this is probably been asked a lot but i just want to say scripts are needed for deffo even if you need to have them done your side and Microsoft put them through we need more stuff for the LCD like checking storage, etc im sure someone who experienced on SE on pc will know what best for scripts to be made for xbox #hurryup11th
Xbox Request - Add More "Script" Options To LCD?
(1) Create an option for an LCD to link to a specific block similar to how we link to functions of blocks with button panels, and display the info to the LCD that we can read on these blocks in the control panel.
For instance, with a button panel I can increase or decrease a pistons Velocity to extend it among other things. Viewing the piston in control panel allows me to see how far its extended in meters. I would like to be able to display on an LCD the length in meters a piston is extended, or the degree a rotor is rotated, or any of these values we can read from our blocks in the control panel.
Like I build an LCD. I open its control panel and target or select a piston block. Similar to when I do this with a button panel to change its properties with a button, I would after selecting it choose from some of the values in it I can display to the monitor, like piston length, piston velocity, etc. Then this would display on the monitor. Perhaps each monitor could display a single chosen value. So if I want to view piston length and piston velocity I would have to build 2 monitors and link each to the piston in question and then select the corresponding Info's to display on each separately. If its decided to allow us to display multiple values on one monitor I would hopevwe could reserve the ability to only have one info value per monitor because I like my big words and numbers :).
(2) Furthermore, it would be nifty if using the programming block or however the above was implemented I could add like values together from other blocks. For instance, instead of displaying on the LCD:
Print lengthextended piston1
What if we could display:
Print lengthextended piston1 + piston2 + piston3
In the event that this is a three piston long piston drill then displaying this added together value would tell us the full drill depth regardless of which pistons are extended or not. And as this is a "custom" value that is an amalgum of other like values having the ability to edit the text label displayed above the value would allow me to name it "Total Drill Depth" or maybe there should be a way to rename the text displayed on the LCD for any of the values being displayed in this fashion so we can personalize the way we interpret the information. For instance the default for piston length would say "PistonA Length: X" whereas this may be a part of aground clearance suspension system for a large ground vehicle and I might edit the value to read instead "Ride Height: X". So custom labels after a default generic label would be great too!
The Dream \ Inspiration:
Could you image a massive stationary piston drilling platform with various button panels for extending and retracting pistons, rotating the rotors, toggling the drills, increasing and decreasing the rpm of the rotating drill bank as well as the rate at which we are slowly extending the pistons and plunging them into the planet? As we toggle these various buttons having the values they alter displayed on a wall of panels would be AMAZING.
We'd have total drill depth (or if too complicated for devs to implement wed have have a depth monitor for each piston segment), alongside a monitor displaying the velocity of the pistons down to the hundreths decimal place to know how hard were pushing our rig, and of course a monitor that reflects that the drills are online or offline, and another displaying the revolutions per minute of our rotator which spins the drill bank arm. God it would be an INCREDIBLE experience to man the helm of my mining rigs in this fashion as these are all values I monitor at my dig site and it would be so much more fluid of an experience to get my head out of the control panels and back in the presence of my large mining beast.
There has been a great deal of interest from the community for this over the years, from people wanting to display their power levels or reactor outputs or building power inputs and so much more. A modder in the community wrote a script package called "AutomaticLCDs2" that allows much of this for PC users but seeing how you guys pulled off the way button panels work I think this is really something you guys could throw together and make officially supported by the game with great ease and a better polish considering you'd build off your already implemented GUI that the modder couldn't. Thank you so much for reading this and for your time and for building the most amazing space simulation sandbox dream factory ever!!

I know XB user won't get actual mod support but what about including porting over popular mods to the Xbox from the Steam workshop?
You could asks the community to vote on what the would like to see brought over and include one from each category such as thruster, weapons, armour ect

I see the scripts made like show time,power etc but what about the custum data you can add is that not available at the momemt? Il put link in here as to what i mean as i wanted to do custom coding

As it is forbidden to have a scripting support on the Xbox console by Microsoft. The only option is to bundle some of the scripts directly into the game.

I’d like to see (at the very least) Solar Tracking and Inventory/Cargo readout for LCDs. Those two scripts are absolutely quality of life on PC and would benefit the core game on console.

- using the dedicated servers (coming to Xbox in future months)
- incorporating popular scripts in vanilla

One script I would like to see is some sort of area/space mapping. Or a radar system. Would help plan battles, coordinate attacks, and general exploration. Having it transferable to the holographic block as well would be awesome too. XD Having the Ore Detector hooked up to the radar map allowing us to see where the ore is on a 3d map thanks to the holographic table from the Decoration DLC.

There are all sorts of good scripts in the game that add so much needed quality of life functionality to the game. Advanced LCDs, Solar Tracking, Inventory Management, Airlock doors. They are all great options.

Nah people we need more weapons. With current ship weaponry it makes builds extremely limited. Add large caliber ship cannons. Lasers. Plasma batteries or something.

KSH, question, is the limitation with scripting by MS only for direct inputbof scripts into a programming block? What i mean is, is Microsoft just simply not allowing a user from typing in a script in the programmable block? Or is it an outright ban on scripts...
What i was thinking is perhaps could we use a conduit such as Mod.io as a conduit to import read-only scripts into a Pblock?
Granted community scripters or users that want to tweak existing scripts out there would have to republish scripts on their own accounts (like if i took izzy's inventory manager script and i modified code, i would publish izzys script on my mod io with a unique name so i can find it) - then i would just basically import that script that i modified into a block, similar to blueprints and run (no recompile option)
Granted i know it will make mod.io a bit more messy but it does solve the not writing scripts through xb issue

Presuming you are on a dedicated server, you access scripts just like you do on PC. Except here you subsribe to them via Mod.io instead of Steam. If you need more information on how to you scripts at all, I ecourage you to watch one or more of the dozens of YouTube videos on the subject.

You can use scripts on the single player beta xbox which means it wont be long until its on the actual game. The problem is if the modders dont make it xbox friendly it can crash your game so they need to code it differently. Here is a link which explains it better.
