Crashing on startup. error code 0xffffff
Solved
Hello, on xbox gamepass im having an issue where the game is crashing on startup, before the intro screen has even run. I found a thing on your forums for troubleshooting that you suggest adding a file to the steam directory. However since i am on xbox gamepass and not on Steam, i am in dire need of an alternate solution.

I've done that with no success. I've also tried in no specific order:
Deleting the roaming folder and reinstalling
Reinstalling
Deleting the cache folder in roaming

Hello, Engineer!
Could you please check for us if you have any outstanding Windows updates? Are your drivers up to date? Could you please provide a log from the Windows Event Viewer? It's located in Control Panel/Administration tools/Event Viewer under Windows Logs/Application.

There are no outstanding windows updates, or drivers. However this issue started to occur when i updated my pc, as such i did the sfc /scannow, which found corrupted files that could not be fixed. I then tried to run the chkdsk /f /r and this is the log from that

I have fixed the issue, since the issue was a corrup windows.forms dll, i did an in place upgrade, which corrected the issues.
