for RP purposes I thought it would he good if you could renotley select areas in a system and place a GPS marker. You could then launch a satellite with an antenna or drone to this location on autopilot. This way you could do unmanned missions to asteroids and other planets without having gone there first to set down GPS markers.

I would say that if you were to do this make it something that you had to craft. Like. A specific tool or block

Needs an actual map with planets, moons, any local stars, discovered stations, player's local position / maybe any of the player's ships + detected ships.

I agree, that would add a whole other level to the combat and exploration categories of the game.

I left a comment on the Scripts on Xbox suggestion a Map Mod that I found for the PC to be put for the Programmable Block. Trying to have it less as decoration and more functional. It's rather interesting. And very well done. And I still stand by what I said about having it as a Programmable Block script would be epic. Allowing them to not just be look pretties, but also functional and give players more options to use for their screens. Going with what Jadon said.
