Unable to direct connect to server using non standard port

Ever since the release of 1.197.180 (also happening in 181) I am unable to direct connect to a server using a port different from the standard 27016.

Symptoms are trying to direct connect to a server. The ip address is entered x.x.x.x:10025 using a non standard port 10025 in this case.

When connect is pressed the window 'Joining World' briefly shows before disappearing and nothing happens.

Wireshark shows the initial connection attempt is sent to the non standard port of 10025. A response is received from the server with the server details. The next UDP packet sent to the server is then using the default port of 27016 and of course never reaches the server.

Just a bit more info. This was using a port forward from 10025 to 27016 on the server end as the SE server was still running the default port.

We managed to get around this by changing the SE server to use the same port as the one being forwarded.

Still interesting as to why this stopped since 197.180

thanks for sharing you issue with us and sorry that you are experiencing it.

May I ask whether the server you are trying to reach is modded heavily? Currently we know about issue with modded DS/LAN servers. See here.

From what you wrote about the behavior upon pressing the Connect button, it seems very similar to the issue I shared.

Can you please either confirm or disprove that this might be the same issue?

If yes - or at least very similar - I would wait until the shared thread is managed and solved, and we can work from there if the issue still persist.

If no I´ll try to look at it sooner. But can you please give me a hint about how to run server on different port, please?
