Ship mass doesn't update correctly

So I dig up tons of ore with my miner, and stuff it into a detachable container, then I detach said container. My miner still behaves as though the ore is still onboard until I update the grid either by reloading the world, leaving the cockpit, or by crashing into something and losing some blocks.
To reproduce:
-load this world:

-test your maneuverability
-dig up lots of iron
-toss it into the medium container
-hit the 'p' key (undock from the container)
-test your maneuverability again
-leave/reenter the cockpit
-test your maneuverability once more

This is still an issue causing all kinds of other problems. Something with mass calculation is still off. This can be problematic for subgrids, especially when transferring items constantly (like a drill ship with pistons or advanced rotors).
