Solved

Hello !

I've got a mutliple times the same problem.

I let my game (solo) on pause and when my projector ( PC monitor ) turn on stand by mode, I quit this for returning on my game. The game appear on window mode all screen white. Nothing to do than execute the task manager and turn off Space Engeneer.exe

See my pictures attached to this message.

No more SE Icon on the toolbar. When I execute again, Steam tell me that SE is already executed.

All drivers are update.

I don't know what I should do other than deactivate stand-by monitor.

Thanks for your help !

Hello, Engineer!

Thank you for contacting us. I would recommend you to reinstall the whole game. Can you please write us your PC specs? If possible, can you please try your Steam account on a different PC?

Thank you.

Hello, Adrien

as I can see, this thread is rather old now. Can I please ask whether you are still suffering with this issue? Or was it fixed for you upon trying to reinstalling the game? It´s also possible that it was fixed meanwhile with various game updates and fixes.

However, we still have this issue - can you please take a look and let me know whether that might be the same issue you are experiencing?

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards

Hello,

No more problem with the screen.

I've deactivated the sleeping timer mode.

But meanwhile, with new updates, i can't play anymore. Game crash at the beggining.

My screen turn black, i Can see the game mouse and when the short video with astronautes come it crashing and i'm back to the desk.

This problem started when you've opened the cross-platform with Xbox. Then, more updates and still crashing.

I'm sad.

Hello, Adrien,

well, that´s... good and bad at the same time.

Great to hear about you manage to solve the primary issue on your own!

But on the other hand, I do understand, that you´re not happy with it now as you can´t run the game at all.

We have this similar issue here on the forum already in several threads and there are some "fixes"/workarounds for this. Can you please try those?

1) Add "-skipintro" into the game´s launch options in Steam (right clock on SE - Properties - General - on the bottom part of the page)

2) Rename / Delete "\Steam\SteamApps\common\SpaceEngineers\Content\Videos" folder

3) Delete this directory: \AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Promo (You can access your files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.)

Please let me know if any of this works for you.

If not, can you please share me a log files? There are two logs that might enlighten me about what is going on:

1) In the Roaming folder, open SE and share me here the most recent SpaceEngineers_(some number) txt file

2) After the crash happens, run Windows event viewer and share me the log generated from this as well

Thanks in advance for coming back and letting me know. Eventually for providing the needed files.

Kind Regards
