mods are not updated

Solved

if mods are updated in the steam workshop and the dedicated server has been restarted, the mods are not updated.

this problem also occurs with the client.

you have to delete the mods manually so that they can be downloaded again.

I can confirm this behaviour: Even though my own mods got updated recently, my server does not pull the current version of it from steam. I have to manually clear the contents of the server's mods folder before starting it, so that it downloads them again.

We've seen this as well on our private DS....... however we just thought "thats just how this works, which is poorly". Not sure if its a 'bug' or just 'bad handling of a situation'. Either the case... server's not updating their mods on restart, are a bit of a problem, when clients are getting updates to the same mods. Creates all manner of out of sync issues.

Hello, everyone!

Thank you for your report. If I understood your issue correctly, mods in \AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicated\content\244850 folder are not updating, however mods in \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\244850\1365616918\Data\Scripts\DefenseShields folder are updated correctly when playing in SP game with mods, is that right? I would also like to ask if you run DS as service? Have you experienced this issue since the last update, right? Could you please provide us with your logs?

yes the problem exists since the last update.

If you start a new savegame, all mods are loaded at the first start.

now if a mod is updated in the workshop and you restart the server, the mod is no longer loaded from the workshop and the server reports in the log "up to date mod: Id = 2342379244".

I have already updated the mod several times but the server has loaded it for the last time before the "Update 197.1 - Community Crossplay" and after that no more.

you have to delete all mods under "\steamapps\workshop\content\244850\"

and delete the file appworkshop_244850.acf

so that the server reloads the mods again.

here is the solution for the problem. maybe you can fix it with this.
