Massive freezes since 'Frostbite' update

Game does not crash...usually...but since the last update I have been experiencing massive pauses in gameplay. This is in singleplayer, offline...so not network related.
Every so often, the game will simply lock up. Sit frozen for a few minutes. Then start working again.
Really makes it hard to play.
Nothing else running to suck up resources. CPU is a Ryzen 3700X, with 32Mb of DDR4 and an X470 Mobo. Gfx card is a 6Gb 1060.
The game runs fine and smooth with no stuttering or slowdowns...just wierd lockups.
i have the same bug. And i have the same CPU with the same amount of RAM, different graphic card. Game freezes now and then for about a minute without crashing.

We are sorry that you are experiencing this issue. Have you tried to Verify integrity of game files? Can you try your Steam account on a different PC?

Played for a whole evening.....not one freeze, pause or hangup.
For me anyway, it is fixed. This is good news as it means I can enjoy the new update and blocks!
