Solved

I have an Xbox Elite 2 controller USB to my PC. Game is launched thru Steam, Controller Firmware is up to date. triggers work in menus but do not function for tools

Hello, EPIC SAPPER,

thanks for sharing your issue with us.

We already had this one reported here, that lead to the conclusion that it is not bug on our side, more likely to be some malfunction HW on your side, sorry.

Please try the solutions provided in the shared thread - connect the controller, make sure your firmware is up to date (which is, as you state here), make sure the connection ports are clean, that there is correct option chosen in the Options in the game and such.

When tried on our side, we had no issue whatsoever with any generation of the controllers.

i"ve triple checked my controler options. when i last played almost a month and a half ago i had no issues. Controller worked fine, my settings and set up have not changed in the meantime. Controller works correctly on all other games i own

that´s unfortunate. Are you absolutely sure that the controller is really up-to date?

We really did not do anything that might have impact on controller functionality in the last updates. As written above - we have not observed any issue when tried on all the controllers that we have.

Yes everything is up to date. Logged in today and game crashed when I switched the controller option to Xbox controller, upon relaunch went into my save and the controller functioned as it should. No idea how it was fixed.
