Graphics Driver crash

Cosmonaut21 shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

This bug has been a problem for at least several months. I start playing on a world, the game freezes and then "Graphics driver has crashed, please update to remove overclocking" appears. My computer is up to date, I tried all of the recommended troubleshooting methods to remove it, nothing. I heard this is a common bug with the game, however. Help?

Hello Cosmonaut21!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Could you please supply a logfile from when this happens?

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Could you please also check your temperatures from when this happens? There was a mention of this on Steam here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/244850/discussions/0/1629665087667088840/ and some users were indeed experiencing overheating.

Kind Regards

Hello Cosmonaut21!

Thank you for your log. Unfortunately, I notice you are running Windows 11. As per our Steam page, we provide support for Windows 10. I don't know if it is at all possible to install Windows 10 to try this? I will mark this as 'won't fix' and we sadly do not provide support for Windows 11. I apologise that this was not better news for you.

Kind Regards
