Graphics Device Driver Crashed error

Hendrik Poggenppoel shared this bug 3 years ago
Won't Fix

I downloaded the game a week ago and as soon as I started playing my game crashed and gave me an error as mentioned above. Its not really constant. Sometimes it crashes a few minutes after I go into the game but other times I can play for more than half an hour before it crashes. I've noticed that it usually crashes while in a menu or when looking at an intractable block. My PC runs the game fine so it can't be my PC and my friend has a high end PC and he also is having this problem. I really hope you are able to fix this because I love this game but now I cant play it

Hello, Engineer!

Can you please send us your logs? You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers. Can you please also write us your PC specifications?

Thank you.

Kind Regards

Here are the specs for my PC:

CPU- Intel Core i3-6100 @3.70GHz

GPU- Intel HD Graphics 530

RAM- 12GB

I am running it on Windows 10. If there are any other specs you need just let me know. I am aware that my GPU isn't the best but as I mentioned my friend has a high end PC and he is also experiencing this. I really hope you are able to fix this problem and I'm really looking forward to playing again.

Hello, Hendrik!

Thank you for your logs. It's a generic DirectX error indicating that the GPU driver is crashing/has crashed. Please try to update your graphic drivers and let us know if it helped you.

Also it seems that your GPU is below minimum requirements for Space Engineers. You can try to lower your graphic settings.
