Solved

Ok so i noticed turrets were not firing... hmmm so i checked the range setting... Minus 800m... blink... ooook so i tried to set it and it changed all gats at once, even though i was only looking at 1 to max of 4 m... so i quit rebooted and came back on ... same issue minus 800... touching the bar only gets me 4m.. slider all the way over... ideas? i have no weapon mods of any kind running btw... did just relook and i have easy Inventory and ammo inventory active any known issues there?

Hello David!

Thank you for reporting this to us. Are you having issues with the turrets on a dedicated server or, is this in a singleplayer game mode? There is a known issue here with the dedicated server turrets not firing currently, however, no mention of negative range.

dedicated server setup but single player usage... crazy part is when you touch the slider to correct it only goes upto 4 m and it changes ALL turrets even if your looking at just one... i can control a turret and it fires np... i even have seen them start firing at drones np yet it shows -800m and the moment you touch the slider 4m... it is a fairly large play through as i am on several planets and asteroids with bases some very large... love finding larges wrecks rebuilding them into large base stations then moving on... how can i help?

Hello David!

Thank you for that extra information. The best way to help would be if you could supply a copy of your save. I can see if I can reproduce the issue and get it reported :)

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Hello, David!

I appreciate this thread is quite old. Is this an issue that still persists or has it since been resolved?

It has been resolved thank you so much for checking...

Btw if you desire and can forward a message ... a thought.. to truly change this game into a long term you need NPCs real NPCs it would be a game changer for Keen and will move you to the next level. and greater success

Thanking you in advance,
