Dedicated servers turrets not functioning correctly.

Won't Fix

Turrets are not aiming at enemys instantly and are not reacting at all at times.


Idle movement does not work either.

thanks for letting us know. However even tho we have multiple submitted threads in similar manor, I´m not able to reproduce it.

The turret is shooting just fine for me in SP as well as on DS. I did one thing, tho - listed a bug into our internal system about turrets not idle moving on DS. Than is one and only thing I´m able to reproduce.

If you have any more info about turret not working on DS, please share it. The setting of your turret, target it is not shooting at... anything.

Best for us would be a save of that one particular game/server.

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicatred\Saves. There you should be able to locate your save.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Hi, I have one modded which is "HellVerse" and one unmodded which is the other one, both are experiencing this issue but do not experience this issue in singleplayer, I've found by running the server on actual space engineers the turrets work correctly but then as soon as turrets are on the dedicated server, they'll decide at random when they want to fire if at all.


Seems setting it to creative slightly fixes it but it still stalls alot.

Reverting to 1.196 seems to fix the turrets not working issue and fixes alot of random lag spikes as well.

Hello, celeste,

I have update from devs that idle movement for turrets on DS was removed on purpose in order to achieve better performance.

Still not sure what to do with the non-firing issue, tho. Will keep it in mind.

Hi, celeste,

please let me ask whether you are still experiencing this issue even after various game updates/fixes?

If yes, is it possible you send another save file, please? (Did not manage to reproduce the turrets not firing on the one you provided) If you can provide a video of this issue happening as well, that would be for the best, really :)
