Crashing instantly when connecting to dedicated server/weather event crash

Won't Fix

I have a dedicated server hosted using the Torch software, which is modded. The server seems to run fine, no excessive RAM or CPU usage. I created a new save the other day and me and a friend connected to it just fine and were able to play just fine. We did experience some slight lag/rubber banding but was likely mod related.

However, when new weather events occurred (rain on Earthlike), my client would crash. My friend was able to stay connected, though he claims to have experienced extreme lag. After it stopped raining, my friend stopped experiencing lag and I was able to connect to the server without crashing.

Yesterday, both me and my friend randomly crashed out of the server and became unable to rejoin without crashing. Every time we attempt to rejoin, we crash during the loading sequence. Right as we would normally be about to start rendering and be able to play.

The server is running on a Dell Precision T7500 with two Intel Xeon X5660s, 44GB of ECC DDR3 and a Dell GTX 645.

My client PC is an AMD based system with a Ryzen 5 2600x, 32GB of DDR4, and an RTX 2080.

My friend's client PC is also AMD based with a Ryzen 7 2700, 16GB of DDR4, and an RTX 2060.

After posting on the Steam Discussions page, and receiving the advice of posting here (as well as receiving a tip about an issue with Ryzen) I decided to test another PC I have. It is an Intel i5-4670k with 32GB DDR3 and a GTX 970; it also instantly crashed when loading into the server. This leads me to believe that this may be separate from the reported Ryzen issue. However, I will note that both me and my friend experienced the freezing reported here on our Ryzen machines.

It should be noted that this has occurred after Sparks of the Future release and both me and my friend have the DLC. Attached file should be from when I was crashing out while loading into the server. I also have the log from the weather related crash, but I think the other crash is more pressing since no clients can seem to connect. I have yet to test a fresh world, both modded and unmodded on the server side, but I can do so if requested.

Quick edit: Something I just thought of and went to check. My Ryzen AND Intel machines are both running Windows 10 Home on the latest and "greatest" 2004 update. My friend's Ryzen machine is still on 1903 (also Win 10 Home). And for reference, the server is running on Windows Sever 2019 version 1903.

Hello,

Thank you for your report. We will look into this issue. However, unless it can be reproduced on a clean, un-modded server, it is usually caused by a certain mod or by combination of mods which we have no control over. Can you please confirm this issue also occurs with vanilla DS launcher without mods?
