Crashes after 29/05 hotfix

Solved

I get more crashes and stuttering since last update. Starts, I click on continue (saved game) then all white screen. I have to use task manager to close it while it uses 100% of resources.

Hello, Mark,

thanks for sharing this issue with us. We are sorry that you have to experience it. I would need some more information on this, though.

Is this happening with one/some of the worlds or does it happen with every save you try to load? Can you start a new game? Or even this crashes upon start? Are you using some mods on the saved worlds? Or does it happen on vanilla (no mods) world as well?

Can you please try some of these advices:

Verify your game files in Steam - right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file (it means your game configuration will be deleted) - you can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache folder found in appdata as well

Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it

Restart Steam

Reinstall VC Redist 2017

Reinstall the game

Make sure your operating system is fully updated

If any of this still won´t work, can you please send me a log files the game produces?

Those can be found in the Roaming folder as well. Please send me both - the most recent SpaceEngineers_(number) and VRageRender.

Thank you for the response. I had reinstalled the game and haven't seen the crash yet. What would happen is the game would be loading and if I used Alt-Tab to change to another screen or if Windows 10 gave me a notification window the SE game screen would go all white and disappear from the toolbar. I had to go in to the manager and force the game to stop running.

I have a similar problem, but in my case reinstalling does not help. Literally nothing helps
