Connector permissions on a player trade station do not work as intended

I set up a trade station on NA#2 with a safe zone and multiple connectors. The connectors are set to "Share with faction" and "Trade mode: on". However, other players cannot connect to them unless the share settings on both connectors are set to "Share with all." Players in hostile factions cannot connect to trade mode enabled connectors unless both parties have "Share with all" connectors. Enabling trade mode on connectors should allow anyone to connect, regardless of relationship.

For instance, if an enemy of mine set up a station with connectors set to trade mode, I should be able to connect even if my connectors are set to "no share" or "share with faction." If trade mode is disabled, a connection under the same case wouldn't be possible.

thanks for letting us know.

Yeah, I do remember this thread. I tested it really thoroughly and discussed it with designers as well, as from what I was told and how I understand it, it is really working as expected. The "Trade mode" prevents the function of "sharing" and let the other players view and access only certain types of station inventory (stores etc) and vice versa from store to player´s ship cargo.

Unfortunately, it´s not "rewriting" the share option of the connector itself (which makes sense I guess) as that´s completely other block with it´s own settings and purposes.

Trade mode is solely blocking the view and accessibility of other connected inventories, but it´s not above the connector share settings itself.

Anyway... if you still think that this behavior is somehow bugged and explanation given here and in the previous thread are not enough for you, can you please do a video of the broken behavior so I can see it? As asked the player in the other thread as well. Or is this explanation enough for you?
