Won't Fix

WHen i get out of a seat or an cockpit my skin keeps on reseting to default color no matter how many times i set it back

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. We have had reports of this before and have a thread https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/pc/topic/skins-resetting that is awaiting a fix for when this happens after a death. Some people have reported the suits too. Are you finding that this happens with a particular ship or world or anything at all? Also, is this online or offline? Is it happening with a particular colour by any chance? Any extra information would be a big help.

it is not just one skin it is all my skins thats does this even if i join a server.

all colour's not just one.

it does it in offline and online.

after death and when i get in and out of any seats and cockpit in any world.

Thank you for confirming. In the case of death, this has been reproduced and is awaiting a fix as mentioned above. It may be worth trying the below to see if this helps at all with the seats/cockpits etc. If this does not help, I would suggest once the other thread is updated to fixed, to test this again and see if this also helps with your issue :)

  • Right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

  • Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file
  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Reinstall the game
