Skins Resetting

NecroToad shared this bug 3 years ago
Solved

My character suit resets on any new game created and my tools reset every time I load a game.

There are bug reports of this going back to 2017 on Steam.

Why is this happening again

Hello! I have the issue with Tool Skins as well- every time I load up the game, load a save, reload, literally any kind of instance change, and my tool skins get reverted to default.

Considering I recently finished unlocking the ENTIRE Rainbow set, it's annoying to have to re-equip the tool skins every day, or multiple times a day.

I have found that this issue MAY be exclusive to Unlocked skins (via Signals), because I was able to rock the entire Golden set for weeks, when I was just starting and hadn't actually gone to unlock any of the other skins.

Same problem for me, it affects only the tools, not the suit.

It appears that you don't even have to reload the game/save, it'll reset the skins if the game does a... full hiccup? Where the game freezes (but things like sparks and smoke continue producing, so stuck but not frozen if that makes sense?), and only resumes after waiting a bit then switching tabs.

Has been happening since started playing SE; still happening...kind of makes skins for tools and weapons useless=(

Yup, still happens. Tool and weapon skins always revert to default upon loading world.

Please fix this, I paid for the golden tool skins, but have to re-equip them every. single. time.

Awesome! Why not implement the fix in, idk, a hotfix, which is literally for this kind of thing?

Especially since this bug has been active for over a year, and past at least two major updates...

I would prefer that you wait to mark this as solved until the update actually releases, as this has happened before where you guys say it's fixed in the next update, but it isn't.

it is released, and as of now it appears to be fixed, but time will tell
