[1.210] Grinding Down Searchlight Crashes To Desktop
If a Searchlight—controllable spotlight from Warfare 2 DLC—of either small or large grid is ground down via hand or block grinder in survival mode, the game will crash shortly after the block is ground below the functional threshold. This is a guaranteed and repeatable crash to desktop.
Steps to repeat:
- Place Searchlight (any method)
- As engineer, hold any grinder
- Grind down Searchlight
- Destroy the universe
Tested in brand new survival world on all default settings. No mods, no plugins (Pulsar is not installed), no edits to any game files whatsoever. Again, block grinders also cause this crash.
Interestingly, welding a Searchlight does not crash the game client, nor does deleting the block via Creative Tools or creative mode. Additionally, damage from weapons fire does not crash.
Game logs reference "Sandbox.Game.EntityComponents.MyLightingLogic.UpdateLightPosition" in the NullReferenceException, but I'm not versed enough to understand the details. I did check CubeBlocks_Warfare2.sbc, but the Searchlight entries file looks fine. In case this crash cannot be replicated dev-side, I have attached a relevant game log.
The Spotlight Turret from my mod Assault Weapons Pack (Steam Workshop version) uses the same XSI type and TypeID as Searchlight, and it crashes to desktop in exactly the same fashion.
I have the same bug
