Hello Engineer,
Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum! We’re sorry to hear about the issue you’re experiencing.
Unfortunately, we were not able to reproduce this issue on our side. If we change the range of the ore detector block manually in the related .sbc file, the change is reflected in the game accordingly. To help us investigate this issue further, could you please share some more information with us? That would be very helpful!
Would you be so kind to provide the mod you have been using that has the issue? Additionally, if possible, please provide a screen recording/video when experiencing this issue.
- Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards

Hey there Agent 3!
Here is a screen recording of the issue. I made sure to verify file integrity on steam before hand and modified the .sbc file afterward.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1luqGZAuka5w6u1VHkR9jb2zb9ojZET-j/view?usp=sharing
Mods used for range increase are the following:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1653943631
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1904715104
None of them increased the range. I made sure that my .sbc file was not modified when using the mods, made no change.

Hello Simon,
Thank you for sharing the video and the MOD links.
We tested the MODs on our side and can confirm that the Ore Detector range increases as expected for both small and large grid blocks. Also, as mentioned earlier, editing the .sbc files also worked correctly for us.
We noticed in the shared video that the world you are playing contains multiple additional MODs. It is possible that one or more of these MOD(s) may be interfering with the Ore Detector MOD’s behavior.
Could you please try the following for further testing:
This will help determine whether the issue is caused by MOD conflicts.
Kind regards,
