Blocks placed with offset in survival while moving

Need More Information

Any blocks in survival are placed with an offset while moving

It's not affected by mods, it's not affected by the server, it's not affected by distance to the center of system

I checked at speeds less than 100 m/s (still have offset)

at speeds greater than 100 m/s (becomes even worse)

far and near the center of the system (it doesn't floating point error)

I checked in a completely new empty offline world with no mods at all and still have this problem

But with all this, it works correctly in the creative, that is, the blocks are placed where I look

I imagine block placement is delayed by one tick in survival for... reasons unknown. at 100m/s that means that it will be about 1.7 meters behind where you clicked

P.S. Many people tell me that they do not observe this problem.

P.p.s. Upon further testing, it turns out that this probably happens to everyone

(This is not my recording)

Hello engineer,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

Could you let us know if this issue started recently or has been present in your game from the beginning?

To help resolve the issue, please try the following steps:

Verify your game files in Steam

  • Right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg

After completing these steps, please launch the game and start a new empty vanilla (unmodded) world, and check if the issue persists. If the issue continues, kindly provide a new screen recording/video showing the issue in this unmodded empty world and the latest log files from the time the issue occurred.

Kind Regards,

Keen Software House: QA Department

Good evening.

Well, I have noticed this problem for at LEAST two years, and it is very easy to recreate.

I verified the integrity of files

Deleted the config and shader cache

Launched vanilla singleplayer game, offline, without mods in empty world

The problem has not gone away

I asked my friend to do all these actions and send his logs (since I can't personally check it at the moment)

Absolutely the same result

The two recordings are in creative and survival, small grid

Here is the second recording - so that there is no doubt that this was done without mods
