Can't save game

Need More Information

I've got the same issue like here: https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/pc/topic/error-while-trying-to-save

I've tried most of recommendations mentioned there but it's something right in this particular world, not issue of the game like a whole. Game is heavily modded but I play with all these mods from start and never noticed any problem. There"s one report in the log repeating many times, which seems to me might be the cause: Thread: 1 -> Critical: Definition of "MyObjectBuilder_Ore/Silicon_01" is missing.

Can someone give me an advice what's wrong here please? I really don't want to start from scratch again. Thank you.

Hello Michal,

Thank you for writing to us and sharing the log file with us.

Upon reviewing the log, we noticed, in addition to the error you mentioned, numerous MOD-related errors. This suggests that some of the MODs in your world might be broken or obsolete, which could likely be contributing to the issue.

Please be aware that we can't and don't provide support for MODs, as there are thousands of them out there, and it's the responsibility of the MOD/Script creators to ensure their compatibility with the latest version of the game.

We recommend reviewing the MODs and Scripts in your affected world and removing any that are broken or obsolete. But. before making any changes, we suggest creating a backup of your world to prevent any data loss in case something goes wrong. You can do this by following these steps:

  1. You can access your world's save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves. Locate the folder with your world's name.
  2. Copy and paste it to another drive or folder.

Once you have a backup, you can proceed with removing the problematic MODs and Scripts.

Although we can't provide any further assistance with this issue, we will keep this thread open in case you have any other questions.

Kind Regards,

Hello,

thank you for your response. I agree, that it's probably related to some MOD. But most MODs, you can download, produce some errors. For example nearly every planet MOD produce "Resource not found, setting to null." error, but it doesn't affect performance of the game at all. If we would be allowed to use just MODs without any errors, we must not use any MODs at all. Since these errors are present in every log of the game (assuming you're using MODs), I suppose these are not the cause of the problem. The only error, which is not present in previous logs, is that one mentioned above (Critical: Definition of "MyObjectBuilder_Ore/Silicon_01" is missing.) It's marked as critical and is repeating many times. That follows (in my opinion) that this might be the cause. Can you give me any hint, what MOD it can be related to? I can't just remove them one by one and try because of their number. You have knowledge and experiences I have not, you're the only one, who can help me. Thank you very much.
