Stuck in weird spectator mode when joining any multiplayer session

Every time I try to join any server (even non experimental mode servers and pc only servers), I always get stuck in some sort of weird spectator mode, its like normal f8 spectator mode but I'm in the default star system (despite what ever planets are in the server) and have no ui and can not open any menus other than the normal escape menu. The escape menu player list seems to update but the rest of the game appears to be a single player default star system world, and I can not view the in game chat. If anyone could help me fix this issue I'd greatly appreciate it.

It seems the issue you have experienced is the same as reported in this thread. As you may have noticed, the thread is currently in the 'Reported' state. We kindly request you to keep an eye on the mentioned thread for any new information, comments, and possible fixes.

As a workaround, when you join any multiplayer session and encounter this black/blank screen issue, press F5 (to reconnect), which will temporarily resolve the issue. Please also ensure you do not have any launch options set in the game, as they can sometimes cause the black/blank screen issue in multiplayer sessions.

Regrettably, we have to close this thread as a 'Duplicate' for now since we can only keep one thread open with the same issues.

Hello,

Thanks for the response, however this is not the same issue. I get put in a single player default star system world, i can fly about and see everything, i do not get a black screen. According to server logs i am in the game however, i am not on my screen, as when i join an empty world server i still get put in the star system world, but in a weird sort of spectator i have never seen before. I also have no HUD at all and can not open any in game menus other than the ESC menu. All i can do when ever joining server is fly around in spectator in the default star system world, the only way i have been able to get around this problem is using mobile data, however this is not a permanent solution, and i feel my network might be blocking a part of the game that is required to work on multiplayer, as single player works fine and i have reinstalled the game several times. I understand that this might not be a game bug however i am quite confused on how the network would block part of the game as my client communicates with the server and the server thinks i am in the game. Id also like to add that reconnecting (using F5) just recreates this issue.
