File errors

Need More Information

Went play last night on my pc my modded world would not load made a new world with all the same mods got file errors made a new world no mods got errors what should I do? the attachment was from the modded one the errors listed below are from the new game with no mods

thank you for reaching our forum with the problem that you are experiencing. We are sorry that it is happening to you in a first place.

Can you please provide me more information?

First of all – we do not support mods and other 3rd party SW, only the base vanilla game without any mods. It is the mod (script, plug-in...) creator/owner responsibility to make sure it is working as expected on the current game version.

However, since you are observing this problem also in the game without any mod loaded in, can you provide more information on this case?

Is the world in single player mod or multiplayer?

This is now happening to all (vanilla) worlds that you try and load/start?

Can you please our general workarounds that helps to most of the players to solve most of the problems that they are experiencing. These are:

  • Verify your game files in Steam – right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files
  • Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file (it means your game configuration will be deleted) – you can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
  • Delete ShaderCache folder – same access as above
  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Reinstall the game

Please let me know if after performing these steps you are still experiencing the same problem.

If yes, please share me full log from the affected vanilla game, so I can investigate it further.

Tried two world both survival and gave same error i unistalled and deleted all the SE files still gives this MOD_ERROR: Unknown, in file: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\SpaceEngineers\Content\Data\Audio_music.sbc

I am seeing this as well, with zero mods loaded. I have tried verifying game files et al:

same condition, same try to solve it as suggested but still same result. even same files crash.

Gave steam order to verify file integrity; a reinstall wont happen.

its even a fresh installation so i dont see any point doin so.

I have the same problem, same errors. My friends can't join me and we can't join official servers either. :( It just starting happening out of the blue last week with no changes, and we can't figure it out.

To reproduce this:

1. Create a new game with the star system world (Pick survival, all defaults, and no mods)

2. Respawn in

3. Hit F11 and see the 9 errors in the debug menu


I also cannot join an official Keen server, it just says 'Lost Connection, attempting to reconnect' over and over again. I assume that is because of the music errors listed above.


I already tried removing all mods, verifying files, restarting steam, clearing the cache, etc.
