Server Crash bug

Reported

Hello,

Today we had a server crash, we're pretty sure this was caused by the following grid in the screenshot here. It was a cargo bay with 2 connectors and 2 event controllers.

The event controllers purpose is to auto lock / unlock the connectors on both sides

Player says

Event controller 1: When connector 1 is connected disconnect connector 2

Event controller 2: When connector 2 is connected disconnect connector 1

We think the crash occurred during an attempt to disconnect the miner, one of the connectors may have been grinded with a hand grinder which triggered the crash.

Should be reasonably easy to reproduce, please let us know if you need any more info.

Thanks!

The server is a vanilla world and is running torch.

Crash was recreated in a vanilla world.

Here is the blueprint of the grids in question. You'll have to remove the red colored blocks and convert the ships from stations back to ships too.

Hello, Gertron!

Thank you for writing to us, and we sincerely apologize for the issue you have been experiencing.

Could you kindly share further information concerning this issue?

Was the server modded (has active MODs) where the crash occurred? If so, kindly paste the blueprint of the affected grid in a vanilla world (with no active MODs) and check if the issue persists there as well.

If the issue still occurs in a vanilla world, kindly send us a screen recording/video showing the steps to reproduce the bug, along with the blueprint of the grid and a complete log file from the time the crash occurred.

  • You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file, and attach it here.
  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
