Hello, Zac!

Thank you for writing to us.

We tried to replicate the issue on our side, and the wind turbine's, wind clearance changed to poor, good, and optimal based on nearby obstructions/height of the turbine on Pertam.

Could you please share further information concerning the issue you have experienced?

Did you experience this issue in the vanilla (with no active MODs) world or modded (with active MODs) world? If the issue occurred on the modded world, please check if the issue persists in the vanilla world as well. Please also consider placing the turbine at some height or a bit away from the nearby obstructions.

If the issue persists, kindly send us a screen recording/video showing the issue and the vanilla world save file, along with the log file from the time the issue occurred.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a Google Drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Kind Regards,

Hello, Zac!

Thank you for providing the log and world save file, although the provided video doesn't seem to show the issue as it occurred at your end.

We haven't found any errors or exceptions in your log file, which rules out anything that could have caused this error on your end. When we tried to replicate the issue in the provided save file, the wind turbines were working fine, with 'Good' wind clearance, and producing power as expected (please see the attached video).

Since we can't reproduce the issue on our end, we kindly request you to try the following workarounds first:

Verify your game files on Steam

  • Right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg

After completing these steps, launch the game and load the affected world save or create a new vanilla world and check if the issue still occurs. If it does, please send us new screen recording/video showing the issue, along with the new world save and log files.

Kind Regards,
