Thank you for writing to us, and we sincerely apologize for the issue you have been experiencing.

Please try the following steps that might resolve the issue;

Verify your game files on Steam

Right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

It means your game configuration will be deleted
You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache folder

Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg

Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
Restart Steam
Reinstall VC Redist 2017
Update graphic drivers
Make sure your operating system is fully updated
Reinstall the game

Once you've completed these steps, launch the game via Steam and check if the issue persists. If it does, kindly send us the latest log files from when the issue occurred :

Ok so I already verified files and the problem still persists. I am going to try the other solutions and see if that fixes it.

I have verified game files, and the problem still persists.

Since then I have also deleted the entire spaceengineers roaming folder, restarted steam, updated my graphics drivers and my OS. I also updated VC Redist, although I have version 2022, not 2017. Please let me know if that is a problem.

I am about to test the issue with a friend on their local server.

There were many freezes, some felt like minutes apart.

I experienced another freeze today.

I opened my game and quickly booted up an offline, creative mode test world on an earthlike planet.

I hopped into the mining vehicle that came with the starter base, and instantly froze.

I could not control my character or the ship, open menus or anything.

The only thing moving on screen was the ship's smoking engine exhaust.

This is a common occurance with these freezes. I can't interact with anything or move anything, and the only thing that does move is particle effects. Sounds will also get frozen in a loop for the last action or interaction that happened.

Here's another log file for today's session. I'll also add the VRageRender file if that helps. I quit the game not 5 minutes into the session. The freeze happened around 9:40-9:41 pm my time.

Please help. This issue makes the game hard to enjoy.

Thank you for the additional logs. Unfortunately, we have not been able to find any reason for the freezes in them. Can you please provide me with more information?

Are you using any devices plugged into your computer using USB? If so, can you please unplug them?

If possible are you able to use another monitor with different resolution?

Are you hosting a dedicated server or multiplayer lobby?

Can you please provide me with a world save where you experience these freezes?

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

To answer your questions:

1) Yes I do have USB devices plugged in. In total I have:

A) Corsair mouse (Schimitar Elite)

B) Corsair keyboard (K95 RGB)

C) Bluetooth adapter for a Corsair wireless headset (Void Wireless Elite)

D) Technically one port is used for the usb hub on my monitor, but nothing is plugged into that.

*That's it*

All of my Corsair hardware is running alongside the latest ICue software.

Would you like me to find replacements for my keyboard, mouse, and headset?

2) I use a Dell S2721DGF 27" QHD monitor running 2560 X 1440 resolution.

I am not sure if I can find another monitor to replace this one.

Would running this monitor at a different resolution, or running the game at a different resolution suffice?

3) I have experienced the freezes in wildly different situations.

At first, I was hosting a multiplayer server for my friends. When my game froze, their computers reported a loss of communication with the server (me). It lasts around 5 minutes, and I always get one stutter in the middle, and my friends had connections to my server during that time (for a few seconds).

After too many freezes on my server, we agreed that my friend would host from now on. Unfortunately, I experience horrible freezes there, too. When it occurs on the friend's server, only my character is stuck, and my friends report my player model halting during the last action. Occasionally I froze while piloting a team craft (airship). This has in more than one location resulted in my character crashing the ship due to loss of control. A couple times I froze while jetpacking through the air. This has resulted in my character running out of fuel or falling from the sky, and when the freeze is over I am either dead or out of Hydrogen.

And that's still not the end of it. On a few occasions I have had freezes on the MAIN MENU of the game, and once or twice while I was in the search menu about to join a friend's lobby.

4) I am attaching the file of the test game I ran in creative mode.

I only played for around 5 minutes, but most of it was spent in a freeze.
