Won't Fix

I updated to get the warfare evolution updates as well as the new decoration packs last week and played my latest save just fine.

Today I loaded up the game and it did another update and now nothing works. I tried removing all mods from the save, turning experimental mode, upping the CPU allowance (the save is large and it seemed like the game did a full install and forgot preferences). This didn't work. I've tried starting a new basic survival game, nothing.

It starts loading, gets to 100%, then says its unloading, then a message 'There was an error while loading the world! Check the log for more info'.

It does this both for old saves and starting new, any ideas? Fully uninstall and install?

Just done a full uninstall/reinstall and no change.

Tried deleting and reloading:

LastSession.sbl

SpaceEngineers.cfg

Log for one failed attempt:

Hello, Thomas!

Thank you for writing to us, and we apologize that you're experiencing this issue.

Unfortunately, the 'pastebin' link you have shared doesn't have logs attached to it. Although the issue you have described seems to be the same as this one with the Exception Error "System.InvalidOperationException: There is an error in the XML document" in the log.

If you have the same exception error in your log, please note that the shared thread is in the "In Progress" state, and you will need to wait until the thread switches to the "Solved" status with any new information, comments, and possible fixes coming.

Alternatively, you can try the workaround mentioned in the comments of the shared thread above. This has helped other players resolve a similar issue.

If you have any other Exception error or if the issue you have experienced is different, kindly send us the log from when the issue occurred.

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Kind Regards,
