Recurring Graphics Crashes Nvidia 4090

Won't Fix

Hello,

I just want to say I love this game, just started playing this month, however the game crashes every few hours and says my graphics card is overheating. I monitored the card during the crash, and it was around 50C so that was not the issue.

I have been unable to find recent support on this, most forums are a few years old, except that a few others have been having this issue since a recent update: https://steamcommunity.com/app/244850/discussions/0/5440953210418872773/

I attached the crash report. Hoping there is any known fix for this, as I would love to keep playing, but am concerned for my computer!

I have tried verifying game files in steam, have completely uninstalled and reinstalled including clearing out any leftover folders or caches but crash continues.

Thank you,

Michael F

Hello, C F,

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. Based on the log you provided, it appears that your GPU device instance is being suspended, leading to DirectX buffer creation errors. This could be caused by various factors, such as outdated drivers or other GPU-related issues.

To start the troubleshooting process, I kindly request you to follow these steps:

  1. Update GPU Drivers: Please ensure that your GPU drivers are up-to-date. Visit the official website of your GPU manufacturer (e.g., NVIDIA or AMD) to download and install the latest drivers for your specific GPU model.
  2. Adjust Graphics Settings: Lowering the graphics settings can reduce the GPU load and may help stabilize the game. Try reducing the graphical quality and resolution to see if it improves the situation.

Thank you for letting me know if any of the above helped. If not, then please provide me with information about the current state of the problem.

Kind regards,
