Game freezing locking up
Won't Fix
my game will freeze and then lock up while in game. I have to Ctrl, Alt, Delt to force close. I have verified files, deleted cfg fil. Reinstalled SE, still locks up and if I try to go back in the main menu locks up. Video in background still plays.

Thank you for writing to us, and we apologize that you're experiencing this issue.
After investigating the provided log, it seems the game can't find the config (.cfg) file. If possible, could you get the config file (file name: SpaceEngineers.cfg) from a friend who also plays Space Engineers? Or, you can try SE's new/fresh installation. To do so, first, backup \AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints and \SpaceEngineers\Saves in another folder/drive, and uninstall the game from Steam. Delete every leftover in the Roaming\SpaceEngineers and Steam\SpaceEngineers folders. Reinstall the game and try to play.
If the game works fine and the issue doesn't occur again, paste both \Blueprints and \Saves back to \Roaming\SpaceEngineers folder.
If the issue persists, please send us the new log file.

I have redownloaded the game from steam. Can start up the first time but starts freezing within 5 mins. have to Ctrl, alt Delt to close out. then when I try to get back in it will not even get to the main menu. and is using over 7gb of memory.

No I’m not using heat vents and the biggest part is after it freezes I can not start the game back up. Usually have to restart the computer. All my other games work with out any problems it just SE. the game was working fine before the last update. I even tried reverting back to the old version and it still doing it.

can you please deactivate all of your mods and scripts you are using and try to start a new vanilla save file? If your game crashes again, please share your latest log with me.
