Can't Save

Won't Fix

I have spent all of my 20 hours trouble shooting this game with zero actually getting to play it and and getting very frustrated. I use no mods. All drivers are updated I have 300 gigs of hd space and 32 gb of RAM. I have verified the steam files and deleted the games caches. 2 minutes after the game starts, on any settings, or any scenario, I get this message shown in the picture. I would have normally asked for a refund by now, but it has been too long for Steam to refund. Please advise.

Hello, Jessica,

thanks for letting us know about your issue and we are sorry that you are experiencing it in a first place.

Can you please take a look here? This player had the same issue (same error/exception in the log) as you do, and the issue was fixed after simply renaming the save file using Save as option in the game and writing some other name for the save.

If this won't work for you, other player were able to solve this issue by performing the clean reinstall of the game. That means that you would want to make a back-up copy of the Roaming/SpaceEngineers folder to some other place on your PC, so you won't lost your saves, blueprint etc.

After that, uninstall the game using Steam and check if there are no leftovers in both folders – in the Roaming/SpaceEngineers and in you Steam folder as well. If there are any, please delete these files. Restart PC. Install the game again.
