Space engineers will not start at all

Won't Fix

for the past 3-4 days ish, space engineers has failed to start, not once succeeding in launching. The launch box opens momentarily, but closes and steam stop trying to launch it. To attempt to fix this, I've done the following: • verifying game integ • uninstalling and reinstalling SE with newly generated AppData\SpaceEngineers files • reinstalling steam • multiple virus scans with both windows and malwarebytes • installed .NET Framework 4.8

all of this has resulted in failure. I will send a log with the details

Hello, Scott,

thanks for letting us know and we are sorry that you are experiencing this issue.

Can you also please these fixes/workarounds on your side:

  • Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file (it means your game configuration will be deleted) – you can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
  • Delete ShaderCache folder – same access as above
  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Reinstall VC Redist 2017
  • Update graphic drivers
  • Reinstall the game – please make sure you perform the clean install. When you uninstall the game, go visit both folders (appdata and your Steam folder) and make sure there are no leftover files. If yes, delete them and restart your PC. Then you can try to install your game anew
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated

If nothing from above works for you, can you please send me the log file after you perform all these steps?
