"Improved spatial audio for 5.1 and 7.1 setups" Is broken after the major Fieldwork Update
Need More Information
Ever since the fieldwork update was released I have notice that the sound engine appears to be broken, I have tried validating the game and even reinstalling it, however the engine still has issues.
Symptoms of the bug include the audio engine thinking that the players front is behind them causing you to hear audio from blocks more if you turn away from them.
I very much hope you can fix this issue soon.

I can confirm this is true, if you are looking at the jukebox or any other source of sound you hardly hear it, or only in 1 ear, when you turn around it plays in both ears and very loud.

Was just coming to the forums to post about this.
The front and back audio input for the engineer seems to be flipped.
So if something loud is behind me (grinder, refinery, assembler) it is extremely loud but if I turn and face it, it muffles as if I am facing away. The sound if correctly mapped, so will follow my 'head' movements but it's just as if my ears face backwards.
