AI Recorder (Task) - Play On/Off - Ignored by Event Controller

Brad Jackson shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

I am trying to trigger this with an Event Controller. I can get the EC to switch on the blocks and to enable the AI Behavior. However to get an EC to trigger a play action I need to add a Timer Block into the mix.

Event Controller Action slot 1 -> AI Recorder - Play On/Off x

Event Controller Action slot 1 -> Timer Block - Trigger Now -> AI Recorder - Play On/Off 🗸

Hello, Brad Jackson,

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. I tried to recreate your setup but the event controller triggered the AI recorder. Can you please share your world save where you experienced this?

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

I have a similar issue with a mining application, and YouTuber Splitsie also mentioned it.
