Simple logic Block/s

I recently thought of an idea for a block or blocks that would allow for a wider variety of systems to be made in a very simple way that most if not all players could use. The main concept is to have a block that has an if logic, where the player can decide what action the block is waiting to detect and then what will happen when it does. This could be used with all the current action settings that can be set in timer and sensor blocks. Additional logic blocks could be similar to circuit logic gates (AND, OR, NOT, etc.). An example could be that an if logic block was set to: if {door 2} open/close, {door 3} open/close. This could be used for a basic airlock that could save players a lot of hassle from them forgetting to close a door or having to turn around continuously just to close it.

Please consider the size of a block today. Do you really want a 2.5×2.5×2.5-m megafridge whose entire functionality is to test for something's state? Isn't it bad enough for the PB or the Timer to be so idiotically, pointlessly big? Isn't it bad enough for things like sensors and lights to occupy an entire block's worth of space even though they're just wall ornaments? Do you really want to have to fill a volume the size of a warehouse for, say, the automation of a single door?

1. you're talking about the grid system and not the actual functionality of the suggestion

2. the large to small rotor exploit can be used to save on space

3. they are not a necessity (aka you don't have to use them if you don't want to)

4. they can be placed out of the way and behind things

and 5. I don't know how you would have a thousand "what if" statements needed for a single door, you would only need one "what if" to make a super simple airlock

We sacrifice 2.5 cubic meters for a light the size of a smart-phone already. The answer is yes. Simple boolean logic will cost you an entire block. It's not about the size but what you can do with it... and that's going to sound weird after typing it up... but that's the real argument.

I've come up with a rough design for an ACTUAL logic block that would be easy to use even for console people. The design works for "AND" but could be repurposed for OR with a couple of changes.

15.625 m³, actually, if you've learned your maths. Also, that a light is already occupying that much is not an excuse, it's an indicator of the sorry state of this game. Worse, yet, this suggestion here is about one block EACH for every and any Boolean, not just your combo block, which is better, but still just a band-aid to the symptom, not to the problem. A patch. A workaround. Not a solution.

From Keen's very own SE page on the Steam store:

"Space Engineers is inspired by reality and by how things work. Think about modern-day NASA technology extrapolated 60 years into the future. Space Engineers strives to follow the laws of physics and doesn't use technologies that wouldn't be feasible in the near future."

Guess in 60 years we'll have forgotten how to make a light switch not the size of the entire room so that the light we're switching doesn't also fit in it, too.
